Topic: Public Art

Main Idea: These years, the government have been doing all kinds of public art. Our art teacher took us to Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and it impressed me a lot. Since public art is a quite new issue, i would like to know more about it.

Western countries after World War II, was busy rebuilding their homes, including the maintenance of historic attractions, and the setting of new landmarks. "Public art" was legislated to become enforceable policy.  
Public art was recommended to Taiwan in the eighty's.一方面試圖從各地公共場域結合藝術創作來喚醒大眾對環境的尊重，另一方面藉由台灣官方所推展的地方主體意識之運動觀念--「社區總體營造」政策，讓公共藝術在台灣有機會成為新的美學運動。( i'm not sure how to translate it.)

 In Taipei, we can see public art almost everywhere. The government also setted many Cultural and Creative park. Almost every month there are exhibition there.
